"I had great relief [from your Yoga on the Ball workshop]. I am in physical therapy and I showed the therapist some of the positions. She felt that this would be excellent for my back. I feel good today... I am so excited to find something that will help me feel good again and take away my pain...Thank you for your helpful teaching. I feel safe in your class knowing that you have my health and best interest in mind."
- Debra W., school social worker
“The Ball Class is wonderful. It allows you deep tissue release not normally available through routine yoga classes. I had been in chronic pain when I had started this class and I came to rely on it for its intense relaxation. By the end of class I would be limp [free] and nearly pain free.
Kathy leads the class through a series of movements while the spine is balanced between the balls. This allows the muscles to soften and the body to unwind and unkink, which restores it to a more healthy and painless state. I was rejuevinated after working with Kathy and the balls.”

“I am 57 years old and standing tall @ 5’4”. I discovered yoga at the age of 50 and have improved my life ever since. A few years ago at my physical, my doctor was concerned because my height was 5’2 ¾”. I had been taking calcium and my bone density was fine. Why was I shrinking? Memories of my mother came back to me – she was always hounding me about my posture!
About this time I was also having problems with my arms going numb at night when I slept on my side. I went to see a massage therapist. He said I was very tight across my shoulders and constricted across my chest and this may be causing my problem. A friend knew I was having problems and told me about a class called Yoga on the Ball, taught by Katherine.
I will never forget the first time in class when we were instructed to remove the balls from behind our backs, I let out such a sigh of relief, a sigh of shock, that my shoulders were actually touching the floor and not curled up for the first time I could remember. I felt a space in my chest open for the first time in years. I could breathe!
I am happy to report that my height is back to 5’4”. I encourage anyone with poor posture or has desk job to try Yoga on the Ball. You won’t regret it.”

“Kathy's experience as a yoga teacher and as a mom gave me the support and confidence I needed as a first time mom. She has a nurturing way of teaching and encourages her students with an open heart. I think the prenatal classes gave me the knowledge to be better prepared for the challenges of being a new mom. I would highly recommend Kathy's prenatal class to new students to yoga as well as practicing yoga students.”

“My yoga practice began with Kathy only one year ago and continues with a weekly practice that has truly improved my life and inspired me to challenge myself both on and off the mat. Kathy teaches us, leads us, and challenges us each week.Kathy knows her students and knows who to push, who to support, and who to just leave alone. Kathy gets each practice started with education, continues with a focus on breathing, then a good warm-up, followed by the opportunity to stretch our limits, if we want to. As practice ends, I am always feeling better than when the session began. I leave the studio energized and relaxed and centered. Yoga is a transformational journey for me that I look forward to practicing for the rest of my life. I am glad Kathy has shown me the Anusara path and that I have this opportunity to learn from her each week. Kathy is helping me to become a more solid, complete and balanced person. She is an exceptional yoga instructor!”
